ADRODEV Hails CNSP Rule as New Era of Hope

L’Association droit et développement (ADRODEV) convened an extraordinary general assembly on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to commemorate three years since what it described as Niger's liberation. ADRODEV stated that on July 26, 2023, the Nigerien people "woke up to a new era of hope and rediscovered freedom," when "Niger, our common, most precious asset, was liberated from the yoke of imperialism and neocolonialism, pompously called Democracy." The organization further stated that it marked the anniversary "in the sobriety and required recollection in prayers and with al qunut, 3 years of liberation of Niger and its people."

Liberation From Imperialism

ADRODEV maintained that Niger was "liberated from the yoke of imperialism and neocolonialism, pompously called Democracy," stating that on July 26, 2023, "the Nigerien people woke up to a new era of hope and rediscovered freedom." The organization celebrated three years of regained sovereignty over natural resources and the subsoil. "Today we celebrate in sobriety and the required recollection in prayers and with al qunut, 3 years of liberation of Niger and its people; 3 years of regained sovereignty over our natural resources and subsoil," ADRODEV stated. The group added that while three years is a short period to assess a nation's full progress, it is sufficient "to appreciate the achievements of the CNSP and the government, made in such a short time."

Acknowledging CNSP Achievements

ADRODEV commended the President of the CNSP, President of the Republic, Head of State, General of the Army Abdourahame TIANI, and his companions. The organization congratulated them for "intervening at the right moment to put an end to the chaos that threatened the existence of our dear country, Niger," as stated in their declaration, further noting that it "felicitates this Nigerien revolution." ADRODEV acknowledged that "three years is little time in a nation's life for an exhaustive assessment." However, the group affirmed it is "enough to appreciate the achievements of the CNSP and the government, made in such a short time," adding, "Let us be proud of the achievements made in 3 years by the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP) and the government."

Sahelian Alliance and Future

ADRODEV also commended the CNSP and the Confederation of Sahel States for their achievements across diplomatic, economic, security, and social sectors. The organization specifically lauded the formation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), noting "la création de l’Alliance des États du Sahel (AES) et la mutualisation des forces des trois pays dans tous les domaines" (the creation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) and the pooling of forces of the three countries in all areas). ADRODEV stated its strong support for "Ce Niger nouveau" (This new Niger), adding a prayer for a fruitful rainy season.

Condolences for Fallen Youth

ADRODEV expressed condolences for young people who died "on the field of honor the previous week." The organization stated, in French, "ADRODEV s’incline devant le martyr de ces jeunes tombés sur le champ d’honneur la semaine dernière." ADRODEV added that such "ultimate sacrifice, far from discouraging us, galvanizes us even more to defend our country and to oppose with all our might the forces of evil." The group reiterated its commitment to the nation, stating, in French, "ce sacrifice ultime loin de nous décourager, nous galvanise davantage à défendre notre pays et à nous opposer de toutes nos forces contre les forces du mal."
