A security plan, previously validated during the last regional security council meeting, is expected to ensure the smooth running of the event. This plan is a critical component of the overall preparations, aiming to guarantee the safety and orderliness of all activities.
Infrastructure and Site Readiness
The site designated for the tribune is now completed, providing a central point for the event. Additionally, the track for various activities has undergone development and rehabilitation. Lighting installations are currently in progress, with further enhancements planned to ensure adequate illumination across the venue. Lighting work is ongoing, and a supplement is expected to be provided to enhance visibility. Preparations also include the ongoing construction of tents intended for accommodation purposes. Tents for accommodation are currently being made to house participants and visitors. Specific arrangements are being made for VIP accommodation to ensure its proper functioning during the event. Organizers anticipate the construction of approximately one hundred stands to host various participants and exhibits. These stands will offer space for cultural displays, artisanal products, and other event-related activities.
Logistics and Resource Management
Additional labor has been requested and approved to manage reception duties and flag arrangements for the upcoming event. A full review of logistical resources is currently underway, with commission presidents assessing expressed needs against available supplies due to resource scarcity. This review is being conducted to ensure that expressed needs are real, considering the limitations of available resources. Separately, a request has been forwarded to the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, seeking consideration for artisanal products and their pricing during the festival. The permanent secretariat is also preparing for the distribution of 200 tons of millet to attendees. In collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Livestock, 50 tons of livestock feed will be distributed to breeders present at the Cure Salée. This provision aims to support the livestock participating in the event.
Health, Security, and Communication
All health provisions are now in place for the 59th Cure Salée in Ingall, according to event organizers. These measures include the deployment of mobile clinics and the availability of specialized ENT and dental consultations at the CSI (Integrated Health Center). Regarding security, improved arrangements for the camel race have been specifically requested and subsequently assigned to the defense and security forces. Organizers have reported no communication problems as preparations continue. Communication campaigns are also planned to precede, accompany, and follow the Cure Salée ceremony. These campaigns will be activated once the official dates for the event are formally announced, ensuring broad dissemination of information.
Event Programming and Evaluation
The artistic and cultural commission has suggested the possibility of pre-selections to save time in its preparations. This measure aims to streamline the selection process for performances and displays. Social mobilization efforts are currently underway for both the fantasia and camel race events, aiming to ensure maximum participation of camels. For mobile audiences, particularly children under 60 days of age, investments will be primarily mobile, with contributions from the State and partners such as UNICEF. The monitoring and evaluation commission requested that the previous year's evaluation report be integrated on-site for all commissions.
