Dr. Mamoudou Harouna Djingarey, President of the CCR, met with Mamadou N'DAW, the UNDP Resident Representative in Niger, on 13 October 2026 to discuss strategic cooperation. The meeting focused on establishing a framework for collaboration between the two organizations. This high-level engagement serves as a foundational step in aligning the institutional goals of the CCR with the development resources provided by the UNDP.

This dialogue marks an effort to improve the operational and digital infrastructure available to CCR members. The engagement between Dr. Mamoudou Harouna Djingarey and Mamadou N'DAW serves as the primary coordination point for these planned institutional developments within Niger. By prioritizing these specific sectors, both leaders aim to enhance the internal efficiency of the CCR through targeted UNDP interventions.

Focus on Capacity Building

Logistical capacity building and digitalization efforts for CCR members formed the core of the dialogue between the two organizations. These initiatives seek to modernize the operational infrastructure available to the members of the CCR through direct institutional support. The discussions focused on logistical capacity building for CCR members and digitalization as essential components for long-term institutional growth.

Representatives from the United States and Ethiopia participated in the UNDP delegation during the meetings. The inclusion of these international experts reflects the scale of the technical assistance proposed for the partnership. Specifically, the UNDP delegation included experts from the United States and Ethiopia, who contributed their specialized knowledge to the preliminary planning phases of the cooperation. This international presence shows the collaborative nature of the project and the intent to integrate global best practices into the local administrative framework of the CCR.

Mamadou N'DAW, Représentant résident du PNUD au Niger, outlined the next steps for the collaborative effort. "Ces discussions vont se faire au niveau technique avec nos équipes qui sont venus de New York et Adis Adeba et également avec les commissions du CCR. Nous allons baliser le terrain de la coopération future entre le PNUD et le CCR," he stated.

Technical teams arriving from New York and Adis Adeba are scheduled to coordinate directly with the various commissions of the CCR. Technical teams from New York and Addis Ababa will work with CCR commissions to plan future cooperation. These groups will assess requirements and establish the framework for future cooperation programs. The engagement provides a structured path for integrating international technical expertise into the internal functions of the CCR, ensuring that the transition toward digitalization and improved logistics is supported by consistent, on-the-ground technical guidance. By facilitating this direct interaction between international experts and local commissions, the partnership aims to create a sustainable model for institutional modernization.
